Its that time of year! Time to be busy and then feel good because
you made it through another Christmas season!

Greetings! Hope this letter finds everyone well and happy or at least close to it! We have had snow so it feels more like Christmas season. It looks very pretty outside because we don't see snow very often in Willamina, unlike Minnesota.
We had a blessing in January, Trevor and Rie had our first great grandchild, Liam.
Summer went by so fast. Arte moved into our mobile next door in March. In between fixing up and helping us out, he kept us supplied with fish and picked lots of berries for the freezer. Karen and grandson Barret flew in for a visit, then Barret stayed with us from June till October, when we left for Oregon to attend Kevins' funeral and stay for the winter. In between there somewhere was visiting our Minnesota kids/grandkids! Love to see them all! There was gardening and VBS, which went smoothly. The garden did okay, except the deer ate some of the crops in a new section outside the fence.
Art has been helping Wendey out since Kevin passed away, cleaning the garage, sorting all the tools and parts.
Aunt Jo is still in Memory Care in McMinnville but her health is declining.
Mom is doing well. We went to her church ladies Bible Challenge last night and really enjoyed it. The ladies are all very nice.
We put skirting around the fifth wheel (thanks to brother-in-law) (and to sis-in-law Doreen). Then we put a little porch on and it feels more like a home.
Have a great Christmas! God Bless you all!
Love, Art and Donna

July 22, 2012 Catching up Again!

Well, since it has been a few months, here it is in a nutshell up till now. We shopped for a boat for Kevin first thing, started my garden plants indoors, planted the garden before the trip to CA......June 6 I flew to CA for Barrets' graduation. Karen met me at LA airport where we rented a car for those 9 days. Then we stayed at Palm Springs one night, drove the rest of the way to 29 Palms. Shopped, visited, went to Urgent Care twice, emergency room once [for a swelling on my leg] went to graduation (I should have done a complete post for that, it was really neat, except for the seating!) Drove back to LA, dropped off car, said goodbye to Kari, flew back to Duluth. Spent the next month working on garden and VBS, which was July 15th through 19th. And now I'm up to date, right? Somewhere in there I bought a garden shed that David picked up at an auction, which is one of the pictures AND three weeks ago Art had shoulder surgery (no pics on that subject!). The pics are from my phone, some are blurry, I was reaching over a fence for a couple of them. The little trailer 'Acorn' (1979 was Acorn, then changed to Scamp) and we bought just before VBS week, my garden, one pic of Barret:
Ready to go to shop in a.m., reset door frame.
