Hawaii Day 5

Oops, had 3 ahead of 4, fixed that. Here's day 5, hopefully in order. Karen, Trevor and I went to the Macadamia Nut Farm on the drive towards North Shore. It's not far from their place, about a half hour or so. We took the bus tour and it was really fun. Authentic Hawaiian tour guide, dressed in Hawaiian garb with a sense of humor, too. His name was Solomonuala or something like that.
Aww, Mom loves ya!

We got to crack our own Macadamia nuts, but the chickens were quick and took them from you if they got the chance. The sign says not to feed the chickens, guess they can't read.

Movies and tv shows were filmed here in this farm and surrounding area and water.Fantasy island, Gilligans Island and some I can't remember.
We saw lots of fruit and nut trees. This is Macadamia.
Very gorgeous scenery

Hawaii Day 4

Today we drove around South Shore, stopping at beaches and sights along the way, then to Hawaii Kai Costco for lunch and shopping. Then to the Wakiki Aquarium to see some fascinating looking fish and sea critters. Nordstroms in Honolulu, then stopped at the Exchange on Base and the Commissary.
 Barrets' new haircut.

This is the discounted price of gas on base, it is about 10 to 20 cents lower than the general Island prices.

This is the beach at Hanauma Bay, where we will snorkel if possible this week.

Here we are at the Aquarium to see the native fish and such.
