Day at the Beach

Saturday, Judi, Mom and I went to Lincoln City to see the beach and do a little shopping, actually it turned out to be more shopping than beach, but we enjoyed the day for sure. We got our lunch at Dairy Queen and took it to the Dee Lake turnout to watch the waves. Judi and I finished and went to walk on the beach. Mom is always cold, so she stayed in the car to finish her lunch and stay warm. We didn't realize she was going to have a skirmish with a sea gull, trying to keep it off our roof. I don't worry about our old car, but Mom was determined to protect it, beating on the roof trying to shoo it away. He probably spotted her fries through the glass. He did leave a little souvenir on the back of the car, but that is pretty normal in sea gull country. Nothing a little paper towel can't fix. The weather was really good, only a little sprinkle at the Tanger Outlet, and it just smells so nice there. Beach trips are fun!

Here's a picture of Mom from a trip to the beach last August, when she and I walked on the beach at Roads End.
